Jayam Ravi won the Critics Award for the Best Actor at the 63 rdFilmfare Award South and the 5 th South Indian International Movie Awards. The movie earned Rs 51.08 crore in the first 10 days worldwide and after 18 days the collection stood at Rs 74.86 crore. The film was given a four star rating by the Times of India. Ravi plays the role of an IPS officer Mithran who takes on an evil scientist who indulges in illegal medical practices. The film has been directed by Mohan Raja and written by Subha.
